Ryan Sheckler and the Sheckler Foundation were the recipients of this year's Eric Stricker Memorial Award; honored on Friday, January 22, 2016 at the 18th Annual Transworld SKATEboarding Awards. The Eric Stricker Memorial Award, in memory of TWS editor Eric Stricker, sets out to honor groups or individuals in the skateboarding industry that have shown a continued dedication to the positive growth, longevity and love of skateboarding. Founded in 2008, the Sheckler Foundation is an avenue for Ryan, his family, friends and business associates to empower people to be the change they want to see in their communities.
